18 Weeks

18 weeks came and gone...crazy that I am almost 1/2 way through this pregnancy! A little belly action to see in this pic, although still resembling more of an extra 12 pack than a baby! I am also going to need to work with my camera man as we seem to be getting different angles every week, this stuff needs to be official ha!

Well, I should be announcing the sex of the baby on this week's entry but I can't because the baby was a little shy during our ultrasound and wouldn't show the goods! So we have to wait a couple more weeks to find out! It is killing me, I want to know so I can start shopping! All the summer clothes are on crazy sale right now! Oh well patience is something I need to work on with pending parenthood anyway.

We had a contractor out yesterday to take measurements and look at the guest bedroom to start making a murphy bed for the room, we don't want to lose guest sleeping space (aka...my mom and meredith's bed!) and Mike and I mapped out everything else and decided on just a crib, low dresser/changing table combo and a glider, we axed the tall dresser so that the room doesn't seem jacked with stuff and there is more play room on the floor. Next step is ordering the furniture which we probably won't do until we get back from Europe in October. My goal is to have the nursery pretty much set by Christmas, so I don't have to be worrying about stuff when I am all huge.

Stay tuned for the sex, I will hopefully hear from the Dr's office in a week or so to make another appt. They also couldn't get the images of the spine they needed, which is kinda a good thing because you can't just get an ultrasound to find out the sex without paying for it outside of insurance. This kid could end up being a surprise afterall!!
