Today I am a little over 6 weeks pregnant! We told our parents & siblings yesterday on Father's Day...and I think spreading the news a little is helping it to settle in! (well technically Meredith found out last Thursday, I couldn't make it through a full night with her without spilling the beans). Everyone is very excited to say the least! Michael text messaged his sister while we were all together with the news and it was pretty hilarious...and then Mike made the announcement. I broke the news with my family by telling my dad we made him another present but he was going to have to wait around 8 1/2 more months to play with it! He picked up on it right away! And Mom and Dad's reaction was pretty awesome, I don't think there was a dry eye in the house.....apparently Artie alone just wasn't cutting it for them anymore :)
So at 6 weeks pregnant the baby is the size of a lentil bean and already has a heart beat...which is totally crazy to me! So very very cool that my body is creating this tiny baby.....well I did have some help ;)
My first appt at the OBGYN is tomorrow just for some more bloodwork (I had my primary care do bloodwork and all my levels are just where they should be!) and paperwork and then I see the Doctor next week....no ultrasound until 12 weeks....I can't wait to hear the heartbeat!
